The upgrade was successful and cleared the fault condition as suspected. We have been monitoring for the past hour and have not seen any further instability.

Due to continuing routing instability at our DC5 PoP we will be carrying out an emergency upgrade of the core router at the site at 10PM this evening. We believe the fault condition to be software based and hope the upgrade will clear it and the intermittent issues that have been witnessed since late this afternoon. Ethernet services terminating at the PoP as well as some Linux hosting accounts will see a loss of connectivity for a short period whilst the device is reloaded.
